Severe rain and gale force winds battered parts of North Wales on Thursday November 22nd.

_64328293_floods_llanberisFlooding severely affected travel, homes and schools particularly in Llanberis, Gwynedd where flood water rushed along the main road through the village and flooded 100 homes.

Llanberis is also the base of the famous Snowdonia Mountain Railway, a world famous narrow gauge railway which has in operation since 1896 taking tourists on a 4.7 mile journey from Llanberis to the summit of Snowdon which is the highest mountain in the whole of Wales and England.

Geoff Williams has been engaged to assist Heritage GB, operators of Snowdon Mountain Railway, in connection with flooding at their premises in Llanberis where serious damage has been sustained in their retail premises/cafe and to rolling stock.
